Hi, I haven't been on in a long time, because I had forgotten my e-mail, and password. Turns out it was under my moms e-mail address. I will try to post if I can. This site has changed a ton since the last time I was on this though.

Family Vacation

Day 1 Fri. May 28th

We left around 6 p.m. Whenever Tommy my dads friend would fall asleep he would mumble/ sleep talk and say “drop me off at the bottom this hill Danny.” He also said lots of other things. Milaya and I were going to get water, and then I realized the button we pushed said soda, and not water. Later on when we tasted it, it tasted nothing like Sprite! It was disgusting. My mom said the drink was probably just carbonated water.

On the ride to our camp I read, played with my Magnetix, listened to my MP3, and listened to whatever my parents were listening to. I also played CSI Miami on Tommy’s Ipod Nano. Milaya let me look through her binoculars, and I saw lots of things. The only animals I’ve seen so far are cows and horses. Before we went to the camp we decided to stop at Wal-Mart to get some fishing stuff, and to get some gas. Mom, dad, and Tommy, got a 3 day Fishing License. Mom ended up getting a fly rod for herself since it was on sell.

When we got to where we were going to camp, we could hardly see a thing! All the windows were fogged up really bad. Dad said he couldn’t see a thing through the blizzard, but obviously that’s not true or else we’d be dead by now. Instead of camping for the night we decided to stay at a Motel. When we got to the Motel I was almost all the way asleep. Mom woke everyone up, even though I was already awake. When we got outside I felt like I was going to turn into a Popsicle! Tommy fell asleep almost immediately after we got into the room. He layed on the bed, and he was passed out, the only problem was, he snores really loudly!

Day 2 Sat. May 29th

When I woke up in the morning from the Motel alarm, I told dad to get up. Then moms phone alarm went off. Then mom told Milaya and I to get up, and I said “I am up.” It turned out that dad and Tommy’s alarm for fishing had gone off around 5 hours ago. So I must’ve slept right through it. When I got out of be I watched T.V. for a short bit, and then got ready after Milaya got out of the shower. Around 11:04 in the morning Tommy and dad got back from fishing, they got ready, we grabbed everything we needed, and got in the car. I told mom I had grabbed the pink towel, and mom had to put it back in the room. It turned out the pink towel was the hotels. It was a different color so that people would take/ steal it. I thought it was ours because we also have a pink towel.

Then we went to 2 stores and got some things that we needed. When we got to the camp all we had to do was organize a little, because dad and Tommy had already put the tent trailer up. Once we were done I ate 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but I had to use rolls because we didn’t have bread.

Then we put jackets, fishing shoes, and ponchos on. Mom, dad, and Tommy put their waders on. Because we were going fishing! Moms waders were green, and black, it made her look like a deep-sea monster! She could hardly move in them is what she said. We fished right by our tent trailer. Milaya caught a baby fish around 30 sec. after she put the line in. I took the hook out of the fish because it was just barely on its mouth, then I threw it in the water. When Milaya put the line back in around 30 sec. after she thought she was snagged, but it turned out she had caught about a 16 in. sucker fish. Dad had to take the hook out of the fish, and let the fish go. Because Milaya doesn’t like to touch fish that are still alive. Dad didn’t want to put the fish back in the water, because he likes to beat up sucker fish.

Then we went fishing at the Idaho Hatchery. After that we stopped at another place and mom, dad, and Tommy fished. Milaya couldn’t because she wouldn’t touch the fish just to get the hook out of it. Milaya and I stayed in the car. I played CSI Miami on Milaya's Ipod Nano. Milaya listened to someone else’s Ipod because the Ipod hooks to a cord, and then to the stereo.

When we got back to the trailer we ate dinner. Mom, dad, Tommy, and Milaya are going fishing by some rocks while I’m doing my homework. Milaya isn’t really fishing. She’s just using a stick, some line, and something else, but she isn’t using bait, a hook, sinkers, or a bubble. Now were going to town to buy more food, get worms for fishing, and get wood. I’m going to fill up my water bottles with ice cold water at the gas station. When we got back we roasted marshmallows, and charged the tent trailer battery.

Dad and Tommy told me the story about the water babies. The story is: An Indian Tribe lived where we were camping. They only wanted to have boys, so they would dround the girls in the river. That way the boys could carry down the heritage. They killed the girls right when they were born. Supposedly at night you can hear babies crying, because they’re looking for their mom. If you go up to the water, or even just put your hands in you’ll get pulled in by the babies. They’re called water babies because they’re babies, and they can and do live in the water. They don’t mean any harm, all their doing is looking for their mom. Mom told Milaya and I that the story was fake, but I already knew it was. Dad and Tommy even said they’re was a sign that said beware of water babies.

Day 3 Sun. May 30th

When I woke up I asked if I could have some hot chocolate, mom said “yes.” Dad and Tommy were already gone, they came back around 30 min. later. I ate 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for breakfast. I had to use rolls instead of bread, because we didn’t have any bread. After everyone was ready we went fishing. Mom caught a 24 ½ inch rainbow fish.

We ate pizza for dinner at around 7:30 p.m. Now were going fishing again. When we got back to the campsite we ate smores. Later on I layed down to go to bed. I used my MP 3 light to do my Sudoku, and then I listened to my music. As I got tired I turned it off and fell asleep around 12:30 in the morning.

Day 4 Mon. May 31st

When I woke up I got ready. Then I helped get our tent trailer packed up, as I ate my Spaghetio’s, and drank my hot chocolate. Once everything was in the tent trailer, we started cranking it. After that I went to throw the garbage away at the dumpster, and there was no warning for water babies. When dad and Tommy got back, they hooked the trailer onto the truck.

Then we were on our way home. The truck broke down 4 times. So dad and Tommy had to do what they could to fix it. It broke down 2 times at the store, once at a different store, and once on the highway. After that we started on our way home again! Luckily our truck didn’t break down for a 5th time or even more!

Day 5 May 18th Oceanside California R.V. Park/ Los Angeles Days Inn

We woke up, and packed up the tent trailer. Were finally going to Los Angeles! When we got there we were going to go to Super 8, but they wouldn’t let us. So we went to the Days Inn Hotel. Then we went back to the Hotel.

Then we went on famous roads where celebrities would shop. We were going to go to the fashion stores, but they were closed. Then we played slug-a-bum on our way to the Hotel.

Day 7 May 20th Los Angeles Days Inn/ Las Vegas The Golden Nugget Hotel

We got up and packed, and were on our way to Las Vegas again! We were going to stay at The Golden Nugget Hotel! Everyone was excited because the swimming pool has a shark tank, and there’s a slide that goes through it. It was closed when we got there which was really disappointing. The great news was Kadee, Milaya and I got to have a room to ourselves! It had awesome beds, a flat screen T.V., and an awesome view of the strip! Then we went to swim on the 3rd floor. Then we went to eat dinner at Terrible’s Hotel/Casino. Then we went back to the Hotel, and mom and dad went to gamble. Kadee and I watched Alice In Wonderland while Milaya was babysitting Brett and Kinnan in the other room.

Day 8 May 21st Las Vegas The Golden Nugget Hotel/ Mesquite, Nevada Virgin River Hotel

When we got up we went swimming in the big pool with the slide. We went to the slide the first chance we got! It was awesome! The slide went fast, and then it slowed down when you got to the sharks! There was lots of sharks, and surprisingly fish in the tank too! Then we left to go home, and decided to stay in Mesquite, Nevada for an extra night. Then we unpacked. Then we went swimming, and there were 2 hot tubs. Then we went to the arcade, while mom and dad gambled. Then we ate dinner at the Hotel. Mom and dad played Kino. Then we went back to the Hotel. Kadee, Brett, and Kinnan watched Alice In Wonderland, while Milaya and I watched Amityville Horror. Milaya started to watch Temple Grandon, but mom and dad got back and said it was time for bed. So we all went to bed.

Day 9 May 22nd Mesquite, Nevada Virgin River Hotel/ Home

When we got up we packed and got into the car. Dad, Kadee, and mom hooked up the trailer to the car. Later on in the ride Milaya and I switched places in the car. During the car ride Kadee and I did some of our homework. When we got home we unpacked.

When we got to the R.V. Park we unpacked, and then we went swimming. We went to dinner at the Terrible’s Hotel/Casino. Then we went back to the R.V. Park, and went swimming. Then Kadee and I watched Temple Grandon.

Day 2 May 15th Oceanside California R.V. Park

When we woke up we packed up, and then drove to the R.V. Park in Oceanside California. When we got there we unpacked. We went to get pizza, and ate the pizza at the beach. We saw dolphins riding the waves. Then we went back, and went swimming in the pool, and hot tub. Only Kadee, mom, dad, and I could go in the hot tub! Then we went to our tent trailer and Kadee and I watched Amityville Horror, and then went to sleep.

Day 3 May 16th Oceanside California R.V. Park

We went to the beach, and tried to find a good spot, for parking, and for lying down. Because there was a big soccer championship going on. We went swimming. Kadee and dad went body surfing. Dad got stung by a jellyfish. We went back to the R.V. Park, and swam at the pool. Then we went to the Pier. Then we went to the beach and the other kids ran away from the waves. Kinnan got wet on the 2nd wave. I played with the sand. Then we went back to the R.V. Park. Kadee and I went swimming again, and we also snuck a dip in the hot tub. Then we went back to the tent trailer, and went to bed.

Day 4 May 17th Oceanside California R.V. Park

We went to the beach. Then we went to get something to eat at the tent trailer. Then we went shopping around the different shops that they have. Then mom and dad roasted hot dogs and smores; for dinner and dessert. While mom and dad were cooking all the kids were running away from the waves. Then we ate the hot dogs. Brett started making a crab with sand, and Milaya and I helped a little. I built a volcano, and put a hole through it with my hand. I put my little dogs on top of it. Afterwards we ate smores. Then we walked on the pier. Kadee tried to make her finger bleed so that she could put it into the water, so that sharks would come. We saw some one catch a baby Tiger Shark, but they let it go. Then we went back to the tent trailer and went to bed.

Sunday, May 9, 2010

For mothers day I had an idea that me and my sisters should make breakfast for our mom. I got the idea from a T.V. show, called My Name Is Earl. In the show they never did anything for their mom, they would always steal presents for their mom on mother’s day, and on Christmas. The only problem was that they never knew what was in the package that they stole, and it turned out to be a mother’s day coupon book. Their mom asked them to make her breakfast, and they never did. When they were adults Earl and his brother went and visited their mom for mother’s day. Then they let their mom use all of her coupons in the coupon book. They made her breakfast in bed, did a ton of chores for her, and Earl even made things right with their dad, because thats what the mom wanted Earl to do for the moms choice coupon.

My sister Kadee got up at six forty-five in the morning. Then she woke Milaya and I up at seven in the morning. At first I didn’t get up because I was so tired, and then I had to because Kadee wanted help with making pancakes. After I finished making the batter, both Kadee and I made heart shaped pancakes. I made a small heart shaped pancake, and Kadee made a medium sized pancake. Milaya made the bacon, and she also picked flowers from our front yard, and then she put them in a vase with water. Milaya made the bacon on half of the big pan that we have. Kadee and I made the pancakes on the other half of the big pan. While Kadee made moms coffee, I finished making the pancakes.

Before mom ate she read Kadees, Kinnans and my card. Then she read the card from Kadee, Milaya and I. After all the cards were read and stuff, Kadee started making more pancakes. Then Kadee started feeling sick. So I made the rest of the pancakes, and Kadee went to sleep. After I was done I made scrambled eggs for Kinnan and I. I finally got to eat my breakfast. After eating I cleaned up a little bit. Later on I did a ton of dishes that were in the sink, which were overflowing the sink, including the ones outside of the sink. When I finished all of the dishes Kadee cleaned the counters, and Milaya cleaned the floor by vacuuming the floor in the kitchen. Mom had to redo the counters because they weren’t done very well.

All the pancakes that I made were up to three plates full. Kadee, and Milaya didn’t think that my pancakes were that good. I thought they were really good, and so did mom, dad, Brett and Kinnan. Mom was really glad that we would go out of our way to make breakfast for her in bed. For her birthday I’m thinking about making her a birthday coupons book since I didn’t make her one for mother’s day.

Disorders

Does anyone love to get up early on the weekends? I know I don’t except for when theirs certain T.V. shows on. The shows that I really like to watch are That’s So Raven, Hannah Montannah, The Winx Club, and much more. I know this might ruin my reputation even more at school, but I know that I’m different for a certain reason.

I have lots of disorders that I was born with, and I always get made fun of because of it. I have a disorder called Assburgers Syndrome. I don’t usually pick up on social cues, and I lack some social skills, such as being able to read others body language, and have a problem with interuppting. I dislike any changes in routine, appear to lack empathy, avoid eye contact, and have unusual expresssions or postures. I don’t usually understand a joke or may take a sarcastic joke literally. I usually use words that are more advanced that my age like intellectual, energetic, and many more.
I’m usually preoccupied with one or more interests. I’m usually interested in studying most things that others wouldn’t, have an interest in snakes, spiders, names of stars, and much more. I talk a lot about a favorite subject. I have delayed motor development. The motor development that affects me is all the types of stuff we have to do in gym class. I have heightened sensitivity, and become overstimulated by loud noises, light or strong tastes or textures.
I also have a disorder called autism. I have a problem developing nonverbal communication skills. Such as eye-to-eye gazing, facial expressions, and body posture. I have a hard time making friends. I have a lack of interest in sharing enjoyment, interests, or achievements with other people. I have a lack of empathy, I have a hard time understanding other people’s feelings.
I have a delay in lack of learning to talk, but now I can talk excellently. I often repeat saying things. I sometimes interpret things word for word, and not catch the implied meaning. I’m often interested in doing things by myself, and I like keeping the same routines. I often have stereotyped behaviors. I actually do get isolated, even though the internet says that people usually don’t when their teens. I also have sleep problems, which is often in 40%-70% of people that have autism.
I have many other disorders and I’ll tell you more about my other disorders later. My other disorders include ADD Attention Deficit Disorder, ADHD Attention Deficit Hyper Disorder, and much more.

Book Review-Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech

This is a fiction book written by Sharon Creech. It was an interesting book, and seemed to show different experiences for the characters. The audience could be anyone in my opinion. My stance is that the book was excellent. I think that young adults and older would appreciate it much more because it deals with a lot of learning about yourself.
The title itself is like a metaphor. You could say that you walk along in the night and look up at your own moon, but someone else could be doing the same thing, so in a way it’s like walking “two moons” instead of one. There is a road trip that one of the main characters Sal takes in the book. During the trip, she discovers a lot about herself and has more of an understanding about others too. She is upset about not knowing about her mother’s death, and has to figure out how to find peace with it.
Sal and a very high-strung girl named Phoebe become friends after Sal moves to Ohio where Mrs. Cadaver lives. Mrs. Cadaver becomes friends with Sal’s dad after her mother disappears. Later on, Phoebe’s mother disappears also after losing a child from going into early labor. Time goes on, and Phoebe’s family is very upset because the sergeant’s son, whom everyone thinks is crazy, leaves letters on the porch. They reference “walking in another man’s moccasins”. This means that you shouldn’t judge someone else, until you have had an experience similar to theirs.
Sal later discovers that Mrs. Cadaver suffered a great loss a few years back, when a car accidentally killed her husband and blinded her mother. She ends up understanding Mrs. Cadaver better and realizes that she isn’t as scary as she thought.
The story was very intriguing to me. I was interested in learning about where the letters were coming from, about Sal’s mother dying, Phoebe and her mother’s disappearance, and that the lunatic ends up being her brother. The characters are well developed and very believable. Sal is believable because she is portrayed as being brave, despite the fact that Sal herself doesn’t think she is. She picked up a spider with her hands, and drove down a windy, steep road in the middle of the night trying to find her mom.
Sal’s grandmother uses verbal gestures and has a lot of expression. She makes experiences in Sal’s life memorable. There was a time when her grandmother took her to an Indian museum, and ended up smoking a pipe together, which was part of the Indian traditions. This was important to Sal because it left a positive memory for her. After her grandmother passes, she is able to have closure with her mother dying also.
I have memories of my great-grandmother Petersen, which came back to me after reading this book. She died when I was about 5 years old. I remember a quilt that she made for me, and movies she’d put in the VCR for me to watch.
I felt like Sal was able to look beyond her own issues and find an understanding about other people in her life. She put aside her own resentment towards Mrs. Cadaver and learned to empathize about her. In conclusion, I would recommend this book because of the interest that it held for me. I would read each chapter, and slowly began to understand the way the stories of Sal and Phoebe came together. Each story was intriguing to me. It led you to want to keep reading.
