Family Vacation

Day 1 Fri. May 28th

We left around 6 p.m. Whenever Tommy my dads friend would fall asleep he would mumble/ sleep talk and say “drop me off at the bottom this hill Danny.” He also said lots of other things. Milaya and I were going to get water, and then I realized the button we pushed said soda, and not water. Later on when we tasted it, it tasted nothing like Sprite! It was disgusting. My mom said the drink was probably just carbonated water.

On the ride to our camp I read, played with my Magnetix, listened to my MP3, and listened to whatever my parents were listening to. I also played CSI Miami on Tommy’s Ipod Nano. Milaya let me look through her binoculars, and I saw lots of things. The only animals I’ve seen so far are cows and horses. Before we went to the camp we decided to stop at Wal-Mart to get some fishing stuff, and to get some gas. Mom, dad, and Tommy, got a 3 day Fishing License. Mom ended up getting a fly rod for herself since it was on sell.

When we got to where we were going to camp, we could hardly see a thing! All the windows were fogged up really bad. Dad said he couldn’t see a thing through the blizzard, but obviously that’s not true or else we’d be dead by now. Instead of camping for the night we decided to stay at a Motel. When we got to the Motel I was almost all the way asleep. Mom woke everyone up, even though I was already awake. When we got outside I felt like I was going to turn into a Popsicle! Tommy fell asleep almost immediately after we got into the room. He layed on the bed, and he was passed out, the only problem was, he snores really loudly!

Day 2 Sat. May 29th

When I woke up in the morning from the Motel alarm, I told dad to get up. Then moms phone alarm went off. Then mom told Milaya and I to get up, and I said “I am up.” It turned out that dad and Tommy’s alarm for fishing had gone off around 5 hours ago. So I must’ve slept right through it. When I got out of be I watched T.V. for a short bit, and then got ready after Milaya got out of the shower. Around 11:04 in the morning Tommy and dad got back from fishing, they got ready, we grabbed everything we needed, and got in the car. I told mom I had grabbed the pink towel, and mom had to put it back in the room. It turned out the pink towel was the hotels. It was a different color so that people would take/ steal it. I thought it was ours because we also have a pink towel.

Then we went to 2 stores and got some things that we needed. When we got to the camp all we had to do was organize a little, because dad and Tommy had already put the tent trailer up. Once we were done I ate 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but I had to use rolls because we didn’t have bread.

Then we put jackets, fishing shoes, and ponchos on. Mom, dad, and Tommy put their waders on. Because we were going fishing! Moms waders were green, and black, it made her look like a deep-sea monster! She could hardly move in them is what she said. We fished right by our tent trailer. Milaya caught a baby fish around 30 sec. after she put the line in. I took the hook out of the fish because it was just barely on its mouth, then I threw it in the water. When Milaya put the line back in around 30 sec. after she thought she was snagged, but it turned out she had caught about a 16 in. sucker fish. Dad had to take the hook out of the fish, and let the fish go. Because Milaya doesn’t like to touch fish that are still alive. Dad didn’t want to put the fish back in the water, because he likes to beat up sucker fish.

Then we went fishing at the Idaho Hatchery. After that we stopped at another place and mom, dad, and Tommy fished. Milaya couldn’t because she wouldn’t touch the fish just to get the hook out of it. Milaya and I stayed in the car. I played CSI Miami on Milaya's Ipod Nano. Milaya listened to someone else’s Ipod because the Ipod hooks to a cord, and then to the stereo.

When we got back to the trailer we ate dinner. Mom, dad, Tommy, and Milaya are going fishing by some rocks while I’m doing my homework. Milaya isn’t really fishing. She’s just using a stick, some line, and something else, but she isn’t using bait, a hook, sinkers, or a bubble. Now were going to town to buy more food, get worms for fishing, and get wood. I’m going to fill up my water bottles with ice cold water at the gas station. When we got back we roasted marshmallows, and charged the tent trailer battery.

Dad and Tommy told me the story about the water babies. The story is: An Indian Tribe lived where we were camping. They only wanted to have boys, so they would dround the girls in the river. That way the boys could carry down the heritage. They killed the girls right when they were born. Supposedly at night you can hear babies crying, because they’re looking for their mom. If you go up to the water, or even just put your hands in you’ll get pulled in by the babies. They’re called water babies because they’re babies, and they can and do live in the water. They don’t mean any harm, all their doing is looking for their mom. Mom told Milaya and I that the story was fake, but I already knew it was. Dad and Tommy even said they’re was a sign that said beware of water babies.

Day 3 Sun. May 30th

When I woke up I asked if I could have some hot chocolate, mom said “yes.” Dad and Tommy were already gone, they came back around 30 min. later. I ate 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for breakfast. I had to use rolls instead of bread, because we didn’t have any bread. After everyone was ready we went fishing. Mom caught a 24 ½ inch rainbow fish.

We ate pizza for dinner at around 7:30 p.m. Now were going fishing again. When we got back to the campsite we ate smores. Later on I layed down to go to bed. I used my MP 3 light to do my Sudoku, and then I listened to my music. As I got tired I turned it off and fell asleep around 12:30 in the morning.

Day 4 Mon. May 31st

When I woke up I got ready. Then I helped get our tent trailer packed up, as I ate my Spaghetio’s, and drank my hot chocolate. Once everything was in the tent trailer, we started cranking it. After that I went to throw the garbage away at the dumpster, and there was no warning for water babies. When dad and Tommy got back, they hooked the trailer onto the truck.

Then we were on our way home. The truck broke down 4 times. So dad and Tommy had to do what they could to fix it. It broke down 2 times at the store, once at a different store, and once on the highway. After that we started on our way home again! Luckily our truck didn’t break down for a 5th time or even more!

Day 5 May 18th Oceanside California R.V. Park/ Los Angeles Days Inn

We woke up, and packed up the tent trailer. Were finally going to Los Angeles! When we got there we were going to go to Super 8, but they wouldn’t let us. So we went to the Days Inn Hotel. We got stuff out of the trailer and car in rounds. We went to western Hollywood/Beverly Hills and walked the Walk of Fame. It has stars of celebrities. Then we went to go see mansions. Then we went back to the Hotel.

Day 6 May 19th Los Angeles Days Inn

We woke up, and went to the shops. There was a really cool camera on sale. It was 10 pixels, and was selling for $79! We went walking around. Kadee and Milaya got fake I.D.’s, with celebrities on them. Then we went to the house where they filmed Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween. Then we went on famous roads where celebrities would shop. We were going to go to the fashion stores, but they were closed. Then we played slug-a-bum on our way to the Hotel.

Day 7 May 20th Los Angeles Days Inn/ Las Vegas The Golden Nugget Hotel

We got up and packed, and were on our way to Las Vegas again! We were going to stay at The Golden Nugget Hotel! Everyone was excited because the swimming pool has a shark tank, and there’s a slide that goes through it. It was closed when we got there which was really disappointing. The great news was Kadee, Milaya and I got to have a room to ourselves! It had awesome beds, a flat screen T.V., and an awesome view of the strip! Then we went to swim on the 3rd floor. Then we went to eat dinner at Terrible’s Hotel/Casino. Then we went back to the Hotel, and mom and dad went to gamble. Kadee and I watched Alice In Wonderland while Milaya was babysitting Brett and Kinnan in the other room.

Day 8 May 21st Las Vegas The Golden Nugget Hotel/ Mesquite, Nevada Virgin River Hotel

When we got up we went swimming in the big pool with the slide. We went to the slide the first chance we got! It was awesome! The slide went fast, and then it slowed down when you got to the sharks! There was lots of sharks, and surprisingly fish in the tank too! Then we left to go home, and decided to stay in Mesquite, Nevada for an extra night. Then we unpacked. Then we went swimming, and there were 2 hot tubs. Then we went to the arcade, while mom and dad gambled. Then we ate dinner at the Hotel. Mom and dad played Kino. Then we went back to the Hotel. Kadee, Brett, and Kinnan watched Alice In Wonderland, while Milaya and I watched Amityville Horror. Milaya started to watch Temple Grandon, but mom and dad got back and said it was time for bed. So we all went to bed.

Day 9 May 22nd Mesquite, Nevada Virgin River Hotel/ Home

When we got up we packed and got into the car. Dad, Kadee, and mom hooked up the trailer to the car. Later on in the ride Milaya and I switched places in the car. During the car ride Kadee and I did some of our homework. When we got home we unpacked.

Vacation

Day 1 May 14rth Las Vegas R.V. Park

When we got to the R.V. Park we unpacked, and then we went swimming. We went to dinner at the Terrible’s Hotel/Casino. Then we went back to the R.V. Park, and went swimming. Then Kadee and I watched Temple Grandon.

Day 2 May 15th Oceanside California R.V. Park

When we woke up we packed up, and then drove to the R.V. Park in Oceanside California. When we got there we unpacked. We went to get pizza, and ate the pizza at the beach. We saw dolphins riding the waves. Then we went back, and went swimming in the pool, and hot tub. Only Kadee, mom, dad, and I could go in the hot tub! Then we went to our tent trailer and Kadee and I watched Amityville Horror, and then went to sleep.

Day 3 May 16th Oceanside California R.V. Park

We went to the beach, and tried to find a good spot, for parking, and for lying down. Because there was a big soccer championship going on. We went swimming. Kadee and dad went body surfing. Dad got stung by a jellyfish. We went back to the R.V. Park, and swam at the pool. Then we went to the Pier. Then we went to the beach and the other kids ran away from the waves. Kinnan got wet on the 2nd wave. I played with the sand. Then we went back to the R.V. Park. Kadee and I went swimming again, and we also snuck a dip in the hot tub. Then we went back to the tent trailer, and went to bed.

Day 4 May 17th Oceanside California R.V. Park

We went to the beach. Then we went to get something to eat at the tent trailer. Then we went shopping around the different shops that they have. Then mom and dad roasted hot dogs and smores; for dinner and dessert. While mom and dad were cooking all the kids were running away from the waves. Then we ate the hot dogs. Brett started making a crab with sand, and Milaya and I helped a little. I built a volcano, and put a hole through it with my hand. I put my little dogs on top of it. Afterwards we ate smores. Then we walked on the pier. Kadee tried to make her finger bleed so that she could put it into the water, so that sharks would come. We saw some one catch a baby Tiger Shark, but they let it go. Then we went back to the tent trailer and went to bed.

Sunday, May 9, 2010

For mothers day I had an idea that me and my sisters should make breakfast for our mom. I got the idea from a T.V. show, called My Name Is Earl. In the show they never did anything for their mom, they would always steal presents for their mom on mother’s day, and on Christmas. The only problem was that they never knew what was in the package that they stole, and it turned out to be a mother’s day coupon book. Their mom asked them to make her breakfast, and they never did. When they were adults Earl and his brother went and visited their mom for mother’s day. Then they let their mom use all of her coupons in the coupon book. They made her breakfast in bed, did a ton of chores for her, and Earl even made things right with their dad, because thats what the mom wanted Earl to do for the moms choice coupon.

My sister Kadee got up at six forty-five in the morning. Then she woke Milaya and I up at seven in the morning. At first I didn’t get up because I was so tired, and then I had to because Kadee wanted help with making pancakes. After I finished making the batter, both Kadee and I made heart shaped pancakes. I made a small heart shaped pancake, and Kadee made a medium sized pancake. Milaya made the bacon, and she also picked flowers from our front yard, and then she put them in a vase with water. Milaya made the bacon on half of the big pan that we have. Kadee and I made the pancakes on the other half of the big pan. While Kadee made moms coffee, I finished making the pancakes.

Before mom ate she read Kadees, Kinnans and my card. Then she read the card from Kadee, Milaya and I. After all the cards were read and stuff, Kadee started making more pancakes. Then Kadee started feeling sick. So I made the rest of the pancakes, and Kadee went to sleep. After I was done I made scrambled eggs for Kinnan and I. I finally got to eat my breakfast. After eating I cleaned up a little bit. Later on I did a ton of dishes that were in the sink, which were overflowing the sink, including the ones outside of the sink. When I finished all of the dishes Kadee cleaned the counters, and Milaya cleaned the floor by vacuuming the floor in the kitchen. Mom had to redo the counters because they weren’t done very well.

All the pancakes that I made were up to three plates full. Kadee, and Milaya didn’t think that my pancakes were that good. I thought they were really good, and so did mom, dad, Brett and Kinnan. Mom was really glad that we would go out of our way to make breakfast for her in bed. For her birthday I’m thinking about making her a birthday coupons book since I didn’t make her one for mother’s day.

Disorders

Does anyone love to get up early on the weekends? I know I don’t except for when theirs certain T.V. shows on. The shows that I really like to watch are That’s So Raven, Hannah Montannah, The Winx Club, and much more. I know this might ruin my reputation even more at school, but I know that I’m different for a certain reason.

I have lots of disorders that I was born with, and I always get made fun of because of it. I have a disorder called Assburgers Syndrome. I don’t usually pick up on social cues, and I lack some social skills, such as being able to read others body language, and have a problem with interuppting. I dislike any changes in routine, appear to lack empathy, avoid eye contact, and have unusual expresssions or postures. I don’t usually understand a joke or may take a sarcastic joke literally. I usually use words that are more advanced that my age like intellectual, energetic, and many more.
I’m usually preoccupied with one or more interests. I’m usually interested in studying most things that others wouldn’t, have an interest in snakes, spiders, names of stars, and much more. I talk a lot about a favorite subject. I have delayed motor development. The motor development that affects me is all the types of stuff we have to do in gym class. I have heightened sensitivity, and become overstimulated by loud noises, light or strong tastes or textures.
I also have a disorder called autism. I have a problem developing nonverbal communication skills. Such as eye-to-eye gazing, facial expressions, and body posture. I have a hard time making friends. I have a lack of interest in sharing enjoyment, interests, or achievements with other people. I have a lack of empathy, I have a hard time understanding other people’s feelings.
I have a delay in lack of learning to talk, but now I can talk excellently. I often repeat saying things. I sometimes interpret things word for word, and not catch the implied meaning. I’m often interested in doing things by myself, and I like keeping the same routines. I often have stereotyped behaviors. I actually do get isolated, even though the internet says that people usually don’t when their teens. I also have sleep problems, which is often in 40%-70% of people that have autism.
I have many other disorders and I’ll tell you more about my other disorders later. My other disorders include ADD Attention Deficit Disorder, ADHD Attention Deficit Hyper Disorder, and much more.

Book Review-Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech

This is a fiction book written by Sharon Creech. It was an interesting book, and seemed to show different experiences for the characters. The audience could be anyone in my opinion. My stance is that the book was excellent. I think that young adults and older would appreciate it much more because it deals with a lot of learning about yourself.
The title itself is like a metaphor. You could say that you walk along in the night and look up at your own moon, but someone else could be doing the same thing, so in a way it’s like walking “two moons” instead of one. There is a road trip that one of the main characters Sal takes in the book. During the trip, she discovers a lot about herself and has more of an understanding about others too. She is upset about not knowing about her mother’s death, and has to figure out how to find peace with it.
Sal and a very high-strung girl named Phoebe become friends after Sal moves to Ohio where Mrs. Cadaver lives. Mrs. Cadaver becomes friends with Sal’s dad after her mother disappears. Later on, Phoebe’s mother disappears also after losing a child from going into early labor. Time goes on, and Phoebe’s family is very upset because the sergeant’s son, whom everyone thinks is crazy, leaves letters on the porch. They reference “walking in another man’s moccasins”. This means that you shouldn’t judge someone else, until you have had an experience similar to theirs.
Sal later discovers that Mrs. Cadaver suffered a great loss a few years back, when a car accidentally killed her husband and blinded her mother. She ends up understanding Mrs. Cadaver better and realizes that she isn’t as scary as she thought.
The story was very intriguing to me. I was interested in learning about where the letters were coming from, about Sal’s mother dying, Phoebe and her mother’s disappearance, and that the lunatic ends up being her brother. The characters are well developed and very believable. Sal is believable because she is portrayed as being brave, despite the fact that Sal herself doesn’t think she is. She picked up a spider with her hands, and drove down a windy, steep road in the middle of the night trying to find her mom.
Sal’s grandmother uses verbal gestures and has a lot of expression. She makes experiences in Sal’s life memorable. There was a time when her grandmother took her to an Indian museum, and ended up smoking a pipe together, which was part of the Indian traditions. This was important to Sal because it left a positive memory for her. After her grandmother passes, she is able to have closure with her mother dying also.
I have memories of my great-grandmother Petersen, which came back to me after reading this book. She died when I was about 5 years old. I remember a quilt that she made for me, and movies she’d put in the VCR for me to watch.
I felt like Sal was able to look beyond her own issues and find an understanding about other people in her life. She put aside her own resentment towards Mrs. Cadaver and learned to empathize about her. In conclusion, I would recommend this book because of the interest that it held for me. I would read each chapter, and slowly began to understand the way the stories of Sal and Phoebe came together. Each story was intriguing to me. It led you to want to keep reading.

A French physicist Jean-Bernard Foucault noticed that the direction of a swinging Pendulum appears to move around in a circle. He realized that a pendulum could be used to show our planets rotation and set up the first Foucault Pendulum in his cellar in 1851.

Newton’s laws tell us about how objects move and how forces change that motion. Force can change objects speed or direction, and sometimes both. The concept of energy also comes from Newton’s Laws of Motion. Energy is the ability to do work. There are many different kinds of energy.

Kinetic energy is the energy of motion. Potential energy is the energy of position. The higher an object is above the ground, the more potential energy it has. Other forms of energy are heat and sound. Forces can change objects energy. They can even change one type of energy into another.

You can watch movies in the ATK IMAX Theatre. Some of the movies are Hubble 3D and Under the Sea 3D. Hubble 3D is about our distant galaxies, and our celestial surroundings. You get to watch space-walking astronauts as they attempt the most difficult and important tasks in NASA’s history. Under the Sea 3D is about exotic and isolated undersea locations on earth. It includes Southern Australia, New Guinea, and others in the Indo-Pacific region. You can experience face to face encounters with some of the most mysterious and stunning creatures of the sea. It will be a unique inspirational and entertaining way to explore the impact that global climate change has had on the ocean.

You can watch movies in the Hanson Dome Theatre. Some of the movies are Attack of the Space Pirates, Black Holes, Night Vision, Secret of the Cardboard Rocket, and Ultimate Universe. Attack of the Space Pirates is about an Alien technology so powerful that it threatens the very galaxy itself. A gang of rogue pirates will stop at nothing to find that technology and release its power against the rest of the universe. One valiant ship stands between the pirates and their total domination of space. It’s a race against time for the Star Ship Intrepid as it seeks to find the alien technology first while defending itself against the attack of the space pirates. Black Holes is about Black Holes. The movie talks about the things that most people want to know about black holes.

The movie Night Vision is about what’s happening in the night sky in the world of constellations. It talks about constellations, telescopic deep sky wonders, eclipses and meteor showers. Night Vision is updated every Friday to reflect the latest events in the night sky and cosmic happenings. Secret of the Cardboard Rocket is about two children that build a rocket out of a refrigerator box. They take a journey through the solar system with the help of a magical book and vivid imaginations. The movie Ultimate Universe is about a journey through the cosmos, exploring galaxies, nebulae and our own neighborhood, the solar system.

If you can’t find anything to do there is also the Cosmic Light Shows. Some of them are Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, Rock on Demand, and U2. Their laser light shows, and you also get to listen to music as you watch the light shows.

This Friday I went to a birthday party at a friends, and I got to sleep over. The people that were there are: Amy, Gracie, Shaley, Kassie, Victoria, Jeremy, Brianna, Alison, Kyle, Conner, one other girl that I can't remember the name of, and I. The people that were also there were: Brittany, Lilly, their mom and dad, Melody, Ben, James, and some other girl in Brittany's family. Only Amy, Shaley, Kyle, and I slept over. I was the last to leave in the morning.

It was lots of fun. Amy, Gracie, Victoria, the other girl, and Alison played a card game of Monopoly, and a card game of Spoons. I didn't play cards because I was playing Guitar Hero with Brianna on the Wii. It was lots of fun. We went on a hike near Brittany's house, and then went back to her house. Later on Brittany opened presents, and then we ate cake and ice cream. Later on when every one was roasting marshmallows I was playing Guitar Hero again. As I got bored I went outside and joined every one that was still there. Amy and I wandered off, and then I left her alone, because she asked me if I would leave her alone for a little while. As I was leaving I ended up getting these stickers from bushes all over my clothes, and that's when I went inside to change in to my pajamas. Later on some time Jeremy, Alison, Brianna, Gracie, Victoria, Kassie, Cortney, the other girl, and Conner left.

Way later on Amy, Ben, Brittany, Kyle, Lilly, Shaley, and I snuck out to the grave yard at around twelve thirty or so in the morning. Each time a car came we ducked into the grass, and luckily didn't get caught by any cops. After the grave yard, we got drinks. I shared a Sun Kist with Lilly, Shaley and Amy shared another Sun Kist, and Brittany and Ben shared a Mountain Dew. After the sodas we went back through the grave yard, and then went to the park. Then we left through a back way which leads to behind any houses. We eventually got back to Brittany's house with out getting caught luckily. I was so glad we didn't get caught by any cops because if we had and we went to every parent’s house I would most likely be grounded for a month or maybe a little less. I also didn't want anything to go on my police record.

When we got back to Brittany's the others noticed that I had cuts on my right leg. It hurt really badly. I went into the bathroom and cleaned my legs really good, and the cuts also. Because both my legs had some dirt on them, but only my right leg had cuts on it. Then Brittany wrapped my leg the best she could with toilet paper, and my leg felt a lot better. I also cleaned my shoes because they were a little bit dirty. In the morning only one of the tissues was still on all the way. The toilet paper around my leg helped it feel better though.

Later on in the morning Amy, Shaley, and Kyle left. I was the last one left. I started playing Monkey Ball on the Wii with James. Then he had to quit because he had to take a shower, and get ready, because evidently they all had something to go to. Then Brittany took James’s place in Monkey Ball. We played lots of games, and they were all really fun. Then later I called my mom to see if she could pick me up as soon as possible, because their family had to all go some where. My mom said some one would be there in about ten minutes to pick me up. So I went downstairs and changed. I also got all of my stuff together, so that I would be ready when my step dad or mom came to get me. I also picked out all the stickers out of my clothes. Then I put my stuff in my step dad’s car, and then I had to go back inside to look for my MP3 player. Then I went back outside after saying good bye to every one, and left home with my step dad.

Over Spring Break

Over Spring Break I’ve done many things. Most of them being homework. At least I’ll have less later on, right. Last Saturday and Sunday I pretty much relaxed most of the time. On Monday I started doing my power point for Geography, titled East Asia Tour. I’ve been working on it the whole week. I only have 2 more slides left. One for information about Taiwan, and one for the picture of whatever it is.

We were assigned a ten day tour for East Asia. Our directions were: “Plan a tour that includes stops in at least three countries in East Asia. The tour should last ten days. It must reflect the geography, history, and culture of East Asia. Use the link on the web site http://www.graniteschools.org/jr/eisenhower/geograph_links.html to compile the following information:

1. A restaurant to eat at each day (no American restaurants- must reflect the food of the visiting country) Pictures are great or even a menu.
2. Activities for each day, must last for 8-10 hours. You may need multiple place or activities for one day. Pictures of place or activity.
3. Write a informative paragraph about each place or activity that relates it to the geography, history and culture of the place or activity.

After, planning your tour, make a Power Point Presentation that is 5-7 minutes long of your virtual tour to show the class. Your power point must include visuals and written descriptions that are specific, detailed, and reflect the geography, history, and culture of the Country.
Save Power Point in: (u) Drive, common folder, Bytendorp Presentations, Asia Trips.”

This week I also have to do epitaphs for my English class. My moms going to help me, with the parts that I don’t get. I’m not sure how I should write it, and it also has to have some poetic elements that I’m not used to using. This week I practiced my violin for an hour, and have to practice it for an hour and a half more. Over all I’ve had a pretty good Spring Break. I’ve roller bladed around the big and small block with a friend of mine and my sister. I have to study for Geometry because I have a quiz and test on 11.1-11.7. I hope I do really well.

This weekend we watched Stepfather, it was pretty good. I got bored after a little while though. It was supposed to be a scary movie, but I don’t think it was scary at all. I only jumped because the cat jumped out, and at that part it looked like it was 3D. I’m sick of doing homework, because all I’ve practically done this whole week is homework. At least it will be off my shoulders. I’ll be very glad when I’m done with all of my homework. I am and am not looking forward to school because I want to see my friends, but I don’t want a whole bunch of homework again. I’m also excited for school so that I can hang out with my friends.

Risk Taking

Last weekend I watched Alice In Wonderland in 3D! It was awesome! It had some similarities to the original movie of Alice In Wonderland, but most of it was different. Over Spring Break I have to read Walk Two Moons, and then write a review, but luckily the review doesn’t have to be done until May 21st. Over Spring Break I also have to think up my steps to my epitaph, and write a rough draft of it, due when I get back to school. By the way an epitaph is the story of a dead person, how they lived, and how they died. It’s in poem format. It also has poetic elements. I also have to do a power point on a ten day tour of East Asia. The places can be China, Japan, Mongolia, South Korea, or Taiwan. For each day you have to eat at a restaurant, and do things that last at least 8-10 hours. If you do twelve days for the East Asia tour, then it will be extra credit, unless you do a really crappy job on it.

Do you know anyone that’s a risk taker? I do, because I am one. I know mostly everyone that first meets me doesn’t think that I’m a risk taker, but once you get to know me you find out I really am a risk taker. I also have a very strong personality. If you still don’t believe me about me being a risk taker. I know many people have done a few of these things, but not all of the stuff that I’ve done many have actually done. Here’s some examples: 1. I jumped off my roof with my sister’s one at a time onto our trampoline, and almost broke my neck. 2. I went into our attack, it was super hot, but luckily none of the floor ended up falling in. 3. There were two ramps together, and the other kids weren’t jumping very high. I went off the ramp, really high. I did a somersault in the air off of my bike, and grazed my arms, knees, and elbows. I bled really badly from my knees, and I also grazed my hands really badly. I hurt my arm really badly, and almost broke it. I couldn’t use my arm for a few days, but by the time school started I was able to use my arm perfectly fine. 4. Some friends and I snuck over to the elementary school, during lunch. We almost got caught by Mrs. Rutledge, but luckily we didn’t. We went into the seminary building, and then left it into our school when the kids in a class in seminary left. I’ve done more risky things than that, but there to bad that if I told anyone, there’d be rumors going around like crazy.

If anyone sees this blog and is a risk taker themselves, then could you please e-mail me at k1152678@yahoo.com! Especially if you have any funny e-mails, because I haven’t been getting any lately.

Homework

Can you believe how much homework teachers cram on you? Just this last week I had a ton of assignments to do. I felt like they wanted to get back at us for having a break, and them not being able to have one. Because they had to stay at school to finish putting grades in. That way we would finally get our (3rd) third term grades.

I have to go to (2) two places for a field trip, for my science term project. I also have to bring back a brochure, a receipt, and write a (1) page written report. For Honors English I have to update my Shelfari bookshelf, read Walk Two Moons, write a formal review of Walk Two Moons and post it on my Shelf by May 21st, 2010, read another book suggested by a classmate on Shefari, continue weekly blogs and discussion board posts, and sign and submit my Honors English form by June 1st, 2010.

I have to retake my fiber quiz, because I wasn’t ready for it, and I totally bombed it. Hopefully I do much better. I really want to cheat, by writing all the correct answers on my hand or something, but I’m not going to only because I’m not a cheater, and I know that cheating is wrong.

For Orchestra I have to play a (4rth) fourth term solo. This term our solos don’t have to be memorized, I think. Even if it does have to get memorized, and you don’t memorize it, you only miss ten points for not memorizing it. The rest of your score is on how well you played, whether you played all the flats and sharps correct, being in tune, bowing, dynamics, accidentals, road blocks, time signature, and much more. I want to learn how to play the piano, because the most that I can play is around a little bit of Mary Had A Little Lamb. I wish that I was able to play because all the notes are the same, except for a few of them.

Today I went to see Alice In Wonderland, the new one. It was awesome because we got to watch it in 3-D! I thought the movie was really cool! If I could I would just watch it over and over again. I’m so glad that I’m still left in Honors English; I just wish that Mr. Thompson would’ve left the Dickens until the very end. Some parts of Honors English were a lot harder than I thought they would be. Next year I’m going to be taking English Honors 10, World Civilization Honors, Pre-Calculus or Algebra 2, Adv. Orchestra, and much more. The Honors classes won’t be online though. I’m planning on taking the Algebra 2 over the summer, that way I can take Pre-Calculus in my sophomore year. I’ll most likely pass the Algebra 2 class, because Algebra is super easy for me, then next year I’ll have already completed all my required math credits if I want to go to college, or get a scholarship.

Harry Potter Poems by J.K. Rowling and Why I Like Them

Here are some poems that I like that are from Harry Potter.

Grigotts Wizarding Bank poem:

Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed,
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn,
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there.

I like this poem because in the 7th book Harry remembers, about the warning
above.

Sorting Hat's song (book 1)

"Oh, you may not think I'm pretty,
But don't judge on what you see,
I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat then me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry,
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true,
And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
If you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin,
Where you'll meet your real friends,
Those cunning folk use any means,
To achieve their ends.
So put me on! Don't be afraid!
And don't get in a flap!
You're in safe hands (though I have none)
For a Thinking Cap."

Sorting Hat's song (book 4)

"A thousand years or more ago,
When I was newly sewn,
There lived four wizards of renown,
Whose name are still well-known:
Bold Gryffindor from wild moor,
Fair Ravlenclaw from glen,
Sweet Hufflepuff from valley broad,
Shrewd Slytherin from fen.
They share a wish, a hope, a dream,
They hatched a daring plan,
To educate young sorcerers,
Thus Hogwarts school began.
Now each of these four founders
Formed their own house, for each
Did value different virtues,
In the ones they had to teach.
By Gryffindor, the bravest were
Prized far beyond the rest;
For Ravenclaw, the cleverest
Would always be the best;
For Hufflepuff, hardworkers were
Most worthy of admission;
And power-hungry Slytherin
Loved those of great ambition.
While still alive they did divide
Their favourates from the throng,
Yet how to pick the worthy ones
When they were dead and gone?
'Twas Gryffindor who found the way,
He whipped me off his head
The founders put some brains in me
So I could choose instead!
Now slip me snug around your ears,
I've never yet been wrong,
I'll have alook inside your mind
And tell where you belong!"
I like the hat songs because there aren’t that many throughout the books, and the same goes for the movies.

Hogwarts' school song

(Each peron sings it in their own chosen tune)

"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,
Teach us somehting please,
Whether we be old and bald,
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with filling
With some interesting stuff,
For now they're bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we've forgot,
Just do your best, we'll do the rest,
And learn untill our brains all rot."

I like this a lot because Fred and George sing it really funny, and really slowly.
Harry's singing Valentine (probably from Ginny)

"His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad,
His hair is as dark as a black board,
I wish he was mine, he's really divine,
The hero who conquered the dark lord."

Peeves's song (when people though Harry was the heir of Slytherin)

"Oh, Potter, you rotter,
Oh, what have you done?
You're killing off students,
You think it's good fun!"

Sphinx's riddle
(See if you can figure it out ... Harry did!)

"First think of a person who lives in disguise,
Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies.
Next, tell me what's always the last thing to mend,
The middle of middle and end of end?
And finally give me the sound often heard
During the search for a hard-to-find word?
Now string them together, and answer me this,
Which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?"

Answer: Spider!
I’m sure you wouldn’t want to kiss a spider.

Camping/ Other

I love to go camping because we go camping, a lot of places. This weekend my family is going to Wendover. I might not go, I only won't if I can stay at one of my best friends India. I hope I can. Because all were going to do is walk around, go to dinner, and swim. While our mom and dad go gambling all 5 of us would watch T.V. or movies. I hope that I can go to India's so that I won't be bored out of my wits.

Don't you hate it when teachers assign you a ton of homework. I got around ten pages of homework, and each of them had ten problems. I wish that some teachers wouldn't assign so much homework on Thursday and/or Friday. It's not like we have nothing better to do than do homework all day.

I sometimes wish we didn't get so many big projects from our teachers. It usually takes me a little while to get a project done, but it also depends on the kind of project. I usually always end up turning my projects in early, even though I don't have to. The projects that I like the best that the teachers give students are: when you read a book and take an A.R. test, and when you do a power point, and present it to the class, or sometimes only have to turn it in.

In Orchestra it's really fun to do the term projects. We have to memorize a solo 2 of the terms, one of the terms we play an ensemble, and the other term we play another solo, but it doesn't have to be memorized. I love Orchestra because it's a really fun class to be in. The teacher Mrs. Tuke is really nice, and kind to everyone. She's an excellent orchestra teacher. I like her very much. I really wish I could have her when I go into high school next year, but then again I also want to be with my friends.

Literary Analysis of A Tale of Two Cities

Literary Analysis

Some of the background of the novel by Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities, was published in 1859. This book is introduced because of the French Revolution. There were a lot of social problems back then. The people in France weren’t treated well. The theme that I will discuss is revenge. Madame Defarge wants revenge on the Evrémondes., because they exterminated her family. A man named Alexander Manette was imprisoned due to the murders that he knew about on the Evremonde family. She tried to get rid of Lucie and her husband Charles Darnay.

Pg. # 282 states, “You will be good to my poor husband. You will do him no harm. You will help me to see him if you can? Your husband is not my business here,” returned Madame Defarge, looking down at her with perfect composure. “It is the daughter of your father who is my business here. For my sake, then, be merciful to my husband then. For my child’s sake! She will put her hands together and pray you to be merciful. We are more afraid of you than of these others.”

Pg. # 282 and 283 “As a wife and mother,” cried Lucie, most earnestly, “I implore you to have pity on me and not to exercise any power that you possess, against my innocent husband, but to use it in his behalf. O sister-woman, think of me. As a wife and mother!” Madame Defarge looked, coldly as ever, at the suppliant, and said turning to her friend The Vengeance: “The wives and mothers we have been used to see, since we were as little as this child, and much less, have not been greatly considered? We have known their husbands and fathers laid in prison and kept from them, often enough? All our lives, we have seen our sister-woman suffer, in themselves and in their children, poverty, nakedness, hunger, thirst, sickness, misery, oppression and neglect of all kinds? We have seen nothing else,” returned The Vengeance. “We have borne this a long time,” said Madame Defarge, turning her eyes again upon Lucie. “Judge you! It is likely that the trouble of one wife and mother would be much to us now?” She resumed her knitting and went out. The Vengeance followed. Defarge went last, and closed the door.

The passage is shows how Lucie is begging for mercy for her family, and that her daughter will too. They are begging for mercy from Madame Defarge. She overlooks it as part of her revenge because they’re at her mercy, instead of the other way around. It also helps Madame Defarge finally feel like she’s releasing the anger she feels. Madame Defarge doesn’t help them because she wants them to suffer just like she did.

Sensory imagery is used well...like in the example of “Madame Defarge looked coldly as ever”. It also portrays how she tries to get others to feel how she does by having Lucie at her mercy. Madame Defarge feels strong, and Lucie is weak.

The tone of voice is very well described through Madame Defarge because she is the main character wanting revenge, and very powerful in a lot of the other character’s eyes. She doesn’t care about anyone else besides herself. The only reason that she waited until the end to try to get rid of Lucie and Darnay, is because she wanted the ultimate recognition. It’s almost as if you can sense the anger and darkness, just waiting to let you take a step, then fall to your death.

In conclusion, the book is very dark in nature. It depicts a very sad time with a lot of chaos going on. The characters seem to come out of the woodwork as each book opens up. In the end the characters that sacrificed the most, are rewarded and the ones like Madame Defarge pay the price.

My "Grandma Sue" Rough Draft 4

Susan Anne Wells, was born September 17, 1947. We call her “Grandma Sue” though. Her last name was previously Jones. Public School # 27 was an elementary school she attended, in New York. Uniforms weren’t her favorite, but she had to wear one when she went to a private high school.

She talked about not being able to keep her job because she’s getting older. When she was 10 years old, she got her first job, and it’s pretty much all she knows. Her first job was at a pet store. Her dog’s name was Sarah, and it was a border collie. I think she has a love of animals because of her first job.
She loved to horseback ride and started around 6 or 7 years old. Some of the names of the horses that she rode were, “Big Red”, “Aristotle” and “Cortez”. She was unable to have horses of her own because she grew up in the Bronx of New York City, New York. She did what was called English horseback riding, and loved it because you jump over bars while on the horse. Her least favorite thing about taking care of horses was the bad stench they gave off, and all the mess that had to be picked up.

As a child, my grandma loved to play with boys mostly, and had a few girlfriends. My grandma avoided wearing dresses, jeans, and t-shirts were her thing. She loved the smell of trees when she climbed in them, and loved to play basketball or other sports to pass the time. One of her favorite friends was named Jan, and they did everything together. Sometimes my grandma and her friends would go and play in a wooded area. It was lots of fun because they could play hide and seek out there or just goof around. My grandma was very tough, and could often be seen fighting other boys, to defend herself from a possible problem. I keep imagining her as a great fighter, defending everyone in the school, and everyone depending on her. On the other hand it’s also hard for me to imagine her fighting people.

Color television didn’t come out until she was in her 20’s. Wow, how weird would that be? Some of the television shows that were out during that time were:
I Love Lucy, Dennis the Menace and Fifties Trivia Quiz. Television became one of the things that she was only able to do on occasion because she was too busy with college, as she got older. I also think it’s cool because I Love Lucy, and Dennis the Menace are still show’s that we can watch.

One of the Universities that she went to was NYU, and Westchester University. She ended up with 2 different diplomas, which resulted in 2 bachelors degrees. She always loved college, and was a very good student. I hope to be like that also. Studying hard and really wanting to succeed were two of her greatest assets. It resulted in her being able to get a job at L3. At L3 they make things for our soldiers at war, so that it makes it possible for us to live. So I guess you could say their a manufacturing company.

It’s funny because sometimes when I look around at the fashions of now, they are somewhat like they were when she was younger. A lot of people wear the same type of jeans that flare at the bottom, like back in the 70’s. Also, the collars and prints were the same. I guess history tends to repeat itself. I am sure that when I am her age, my kids will be wearing the same type of styles I wear now.

Most importantly, I love my grandma Sue because she has told me so many cool stories about her past that I just don’t have the words to express right now. I remember all of the nice things that she’s done for me to sacrifice her time and money in order for me to have a better life. My grandma has always been there for me during tough times. My grandma has gotten me out of all my tough spots, and supported me whenever I needed support.

One of my most treasured moments was when I would spend time with her on the weekends, and she’d have so many awesome snacks for me to eat. I love eating goldfish crackers to this day. She always had a root beer or sprite handy when I got thirsty. It’s the little things like those, that I remember the most, and make my grandma...well, my grandma.

My Grandma Sue

When I was younger I used to visit my Grandma Sue every other weekend, but that was also when I lived with my step mom and dad. Whenever my grandma would pick me up she would have a small cooler in the back seat filled with treats in it. It would have goldfish crackers, a root beer or sprite, and sometimes a cheese stick.

Whenever I woke up in the morning my grandma was always awake. She would let me choose what I wanted to eat. She always had my favorite cereals handy, like “Rice Krispies”, or “Pops” brand. I loved to take a bath at my grandma’s house, but also remember her being very worrisome. If she couldn’t here me splashing around in the water she would call up and say “Kaly are you all right?”, and I would respond with, “Yes, I am”. I love her very much because she is loving and caring.

One day I asked her, “How come you wake up so early?” She would say, “It’s out of habit because I have to get up early for work.” She told me that she usually wakes up around 4:00 a.m. That’s pretty early. I definitely wouldn’t want to have to get up at that time! One of her favorite things to do in the morning is watch the news.

My grandma’s name is Susan Anne Wells, and was born September 17, 1947. We (meaning the grandkids), call her “Grandma Sue”. She is a very smart woman, with 2 bachelor’s degrees. She’s employed at a company called “L-3 Communications”, in Salt Lake City. Hard work was how she was able to get a job there.

My grandma went to 2 universities. One of them was New York University, or “NYU”, and Westchester University. Grandma Sue had to study all the time, and work hard to get where she is today. At L-3, they make things for our soldiers at war, so that we can survive. My grandma is very pretty for being 62 years old. She has blond hair, blue eyes, and is Jewish. She’s also very proud of her heritage. Luckily, my grandma wasn’t born when Adolf Hitler was alive.

I don’t like getting clothes that often, but when she does, they are really pretty. I feel like she takes into consideration what I need, and what type of clothes I would look good in. She wants all of my siblings and I to look the best, and that’s why she gets us really cute clothes.

Her favorite sport is English horseback riding. She started it around 6 or 7 years old. My grandma couldn’t have her own horses because she lived in the Bronx of New York City, New York. She cared for other peoples horses whose names were “Big Red”, “Aristotle”, and “Cortez”. Her least favorite thing about taking care of horses was the bad stench they gave off, and all the mess that had to be picked up.

Most importantly I love my grandma Sue because she has told me so many cool stories about her past that I just don’t have the words to express right now. I remember all of the nice things that she’s done for me to sacrifice her time and money in order for me to have a better life. My grandma has always been there for me during tough times.

More Projects

I have so many projects it's ridiculous I swear. I have a power point that I'm doing for Earth Science. Because the books for this term, for that class are really hard to understand. Plus a power point isn't that hard to do. I think that it's going to be really easy to get an A+, on my power point. I added some really cool animation to it. My mom added a little bit of information to some of the slides that I did, because I didn't have enough information. I added some really cool animation to some of the slides. It took a little while to do, because my mom added animation to some stuff. And it kind of messed up some stuff.

For my English class I’m doing a grandparent interview. I have to make it into a story, or a conversation. It’s pretty hard because it has to have figurative language, and description. There are many characteristics of figurative language. Some of them are sensory imagery, personification, hyperbole, simile, idiom, metaphor, irony, alliteration, and onomatopoeia. Sensory imagery is where you describe stuff using the five senses. Personification is a figure of speech in which human qualities are given to an animal, object, or idea. A hyperbole is an intentional or obvious exaggeration. A simile compares things to one another. An idiom is an expression whose meaning is not predictable. A metaphor is a figure of speech where it suggests a resemblance to something. Irony is basically using sarcasm. Alliteration is a group of the same consonant sounds. Onomatopoeia is a use of imitative and naturally suggestive words for rhetorical effect. If you got confused at all with the definitions I’m not surprised. Because I did when I first had to do anything with the figurative language. Especially being able to tell the difference between them.

For Orchestra I have to do a quartet ensemble, but it ended up having to be only three people. Because our fourth person never showed up. We played a Fanfare for Strings. I played first violin, Ansen played second violin, and Justin played cello which is the same as what he always plays. Ansen and I played the same positions that we always play so that way it would be easier. We did our ensemble today. I think we did really well. We ended up getting full credit which is fifty out of fifty. The next big thing for Orchestra is the Festival. Where Mrs. Tuke has us play the music that she picked out for us. It will be a lot like a concert. Were going to be judged by judges, and also be playing against other schools. The judges are going to give us a piece of music that we have to sight read, and we’ll get judged on how well we do. This is how well in tune we are, whether we played in the correct position, whether we played in the correct key, whether we played the correct sharps and flats, and much more.

LIBRARY/HIKES I’VE BEEN ON

Today I’m going to the library to type up my blog. Our internet at home isn’t working so I have to go some where else to type it right. Well anyways maybe if my parents leave me there I can read when I’m done, or if I still have time I could play games on the computer. They only let you have thirty minutes of time to use a computer, so that any one else that needs to can. I hope that I’ll be able to catch up on taking care of my animal on foopets.com, because I haven’t been able to play it in a long time.

Maybe I’ll be able to read some of Inkheart. Because right now my mom isn’t letting me read any books except for A Tale of Two Cities. I’ve been reading Inkheart at school during homeroom or when ever I can. I don’t really understand A Tale of Two Cities, but she says she’ll help me with my explanatory explanation. I wish we didn’t have to read anything from Charles Dickens right now. It’s hard to understand most of it. I understand some of it, and now I get why people get bored when I start telling stuff in tons of detail. I mean who really wants to listen to this story that becomes really complicated, and is really hard to understand.

Some other games that I want to play if I get done early are something on postopia.com, and funnygames.org, their games are really fun. I want to play this matching game, or a four wheeler game, or a penguin game, or even a hockey game where you play against an octopus. I also want to play Diner Dash; it’s a type of restaurant game. Where you put people where their sitting, take their orders, have the chef cook it, bring them their orders, take their dishes to a bin thing, and you also earn money depending on how well your service was.

Some hikes that I’ve been on are Spooky and Peek-a-boo, which is a slot canyon. You can hike in either end; we’ve hiked it both ways. It’s an awesome hike. You’ve got to know the signs of flooding though. When we were hiking in the Narrows, which has water about up to my knee, we heard thunder and saw lightning. We started getting out because we didn’t want to get stuck in a flash flood. In the Narrows it was lots of fun because you could go in the water and down these small water falls. Kadee, Milaya, and I all went down the small water falls. You had to stay on your back and butt, unless you wanted to hit your butt or back on something. One time Kadee, Milaya, and I all ended up getting our heads sunk under the water, but luckily we held our breath right before we went under. It was lots of fun. We saw a ranger on our way out of the Narrows, and we told her that we had seen lightning, and heard thunder. She said she was going to leave once she got the stuff cleaned off the wall of the cliff. It was lucky that we left, because it did end up flash flooding. I’ve been on a lot more hikes than that, but maybe I’ll tell you some other time.

Projects

Don't you hate it when you have a huge project for class, and you feel like you'll never get it done. I know I do. For the book choice I'm reading A Tale of Two Cities, it’s kind of confusing. My moms helping me with it so that I understand it more. Most of my projects for classes have been really easy, even for honors English.

I have done a power point for English 9, a power point for Computer Technology, a power point for Geography, and read a book and took an A.R. test for Earth Science for first and second term. This term for Honors English I think it's going to be a lot harder than last term. In Earth Systems which is my science class I'm going to do a power point for this term.

In Orchestra we had to play solos for first and second term. In Orchestra I'm going to have to play in a Trio for an Ensemble, because our fourth person has never showed up. I also have to do a 3rd tern solo for Orchestra. We'll be playing at a festival and have to sight read. The festival is kind of like a concert, except were competing against different school's. This will be my first year playing at the festival, and I'm really excited. For the Festival the boys have to wear a black suit, white or black shirt, a black tie or bow tie, black socks, and black shoes. The girls that play a bass or cello have to wear a black or white shirt, black slacks, black socks, and black socks. If you play a viola or violin which I do, you have to wear either a black dress, or black or white shirt, with black skirt, black tights with both of them, and black shoes with both of them. Every week we have to practice two hours and thirty minutes. At the end of each term we have a minimum of twenty hours and thirty minutes, sometimes more, it depends on how many weeks there are in that term. I first started playing violin in sixth grade. I really wanted to play a bass or cello, but my mom wouldn't let me because they were so expensive. So she said I could either play the viola or violin, and of course I picked the violin. I wouldn't mind either becoming an Orchestra teacher or being able to play in the Symphony. I'd rather play in the Symphony though. It's actually pretty hard to learn how to play the violin believe it or not. You have to learn how to tune your instrument, how to play your instrument, how to read the music, how to tell what key you’re in, how to tell what's high and low, how to tell the difference between sharp and natural, how to play sharp and natural, how to hold your bow, and how to play with your bow. There's more than that but I think you get the idea. I like having a shoulder rest though because without it I wouldn't be able to play for an hour or more straight through.

Book of Vampires Continued

Ch. 4 Convincing Meeting
I talked with my vampire friends for a while, and we finally came up with a plan. The plan is that I will go back to school, and my regular routine. Then I will convince our human friends that our other friends hadn't ever died.

Once our human friends believed me I brought them all to an empty warehouse the following week. Where really my vampire friends and I will change our human friends into vampires, so that we can defeat our enemy's all together as a huge group of friends.

Ch. 5 Friends
Our human friends unsure of the old friends change, quickly. They said, "we believe our other friends havn't died." When everyone started talking and feeling good India quizzically asked "Why is this meeting in an abandoned warehouse instead of somewhere else?"

Ch. 6 Friends Changing
"It's time for you guys to change!", I yelled. We charged at our human friends, sucked their blood, mixed our blood with theirs, laid them down, and then went to sleep. Unlike other stories we are able to sleep, we arn't afraid of onions, crosses, garlic, or even light.

The next day everyone awoke, and we all shouted out "Crystal, Alyssa, Amanda, Ashlee, Brittany, Carilee, Dianna, India, Kady, Kassie, Page and Skyler are all THE BEST VAMPIRES IN THE WORLD!

We all went to our houses and ate. Then we met up at the warehouse, went to the gym to get into shape, ate a big dinner, and went to the warehouse to sleep. Our plan was to go to school tomorrow, do our homework, then challenge our enemies to a fight where we'd kill them!

Ch. 7 Destruction of Our Enemy's
We got into a huge fight in the warehouse with Brolan, Courtney, Dakota, Emily, Jessica S., Jessica W., and Seanna.

Before we faced them we had shouted out our new theme. We all started fighting, and won! We decided that we would let our enemy's live, and die when it's their time to. After that we shouted "Crystal, Alyssa, Amanda, Amy, Ashlee, Brittany, Carilee, Dianna, India, Kady, Kassie, Page and Skyler are "THE BEST VAMPIRES IN THE WORLD, WE ARE IMMORTAL, AND THE ONLY ONES!

Seven Destruction of Our Enemies

Sneak Peek
I didn't realize that I stood crouched in front of a train until vampires surrounded me, and i had been stricken by the train. When I woke up realizing I had changed into a vampire. I had survived because of the change.

Ch. 1 Superstitions
My name's Crystal Leigh Worthington, and I've been scared to death that our Scary Club will be taken over by vampires. I'm getting a little ahead of myself. In the Scary Club we mostly read, talk about ghosts, and superstitious stuff. Our Scary Club is a group of kids that find that stuff interesting, and awesome to do. We believe in vampires because our friend Amy had a close encounter with one.

A month after the incident she lay in the hospital receivin a blood transfusion, and getting her cast taken off. Because she had stepped on a nail, fell down the stairs, lost lots of blood, and broke her leg. While she was at the hopital a vampire visited her, and here's what happened. The vampire quietly whispered "I will get you to become a vampire someday, as soon as I can." But now he's coming after me instead.

I ran to school, and noticed the vampire dead on the railroad tracks. I recognized him from the picture that Amy showed me the day before. I tried to figure out how the person died, but I decided to talk about the incident with the group first.

Ch. 2 Inspecting
After homework, I decided to hold a meeting the following week. It would be about what I'd seen. Alyssa, Amy, Brittany, India, Page, and Skyler showed up.

After I told them about the incident, I asked them what they thought it meant. In the end we all agreed that good vampires are searching to kill all the evil vampires. We also talked about the strange abductions of our friends Ashlee, Amanda, Carilee, Dianna, Kady and Kassie.

After coming home from a meeting, holding a note covered in blood they read it out loud. What stuck out in my mind the most was the sketched writing, "kill the evil vampires!" The vampires created an army, because they needed to destroy the evil vampires. They left notes in their victim's hands, to warn the human population that a vampire war is coming. So one month later after our strange meeting they decided I would go out, and inspect the latest death spot. The only problem was that I didn't know I had decided to walk straight to my death, and into my new life.

Ch. 3 Death Change
I stood on the train tracks, and found that the dead vampire had left a handbook all about vampires, and their mystifying secrets, titled The Book of Vampires. I began reading but I decided to put it in my coat pocket instead, and to read it at our next meeting.

I hadn't realized I stood crouched in front of a train until vampires surrounded me, and I'd been stricken by the train. when I woke up, realizing I had turned into a vampire. I'd survived because of the change.

The vampires Ashlee, Amanda, Carilee, Dianna, Kady and Kassie stood right in front of me. The sadly and urgently interrupted "we desperately need a vampire leader, to get the rest of our friends to become an excellent team of vampires. We want to defeat our enemies Brolan, Cortney, Dominik, Elijah, Jessica S., Jessica W. and Seanna." We knew that our only chance of beating them, would be to suck our friends blood , and mix it with ours, but we aren't sure how to.

The Haunted Ship Of Captain Jack

Chapter Three:
Tommy was glad that he was made Captain by Jack, but he felt bad that he had to turn his back on Babmayus, and because Babmayus was made a prisoner now. The enemy bombed the ship that was along the side of Captain Tommy's ship. They were all crammed onto one boat. One hundred men died that night fighting with Captain Jack. Everyone on the ship except for Babmayus and his helpers cried, and grieved for Captain Jack all night long. No one killed Babmayus, but after a week he complained about Captain Jack always haunting his dreams. Everyone yelled and said "that's what you get for lying, murdering, and everyone still letting you live on Captain Jack's orders!" Tommy told Babmayus "Well you're lucky because if you had killed me, I would tell the crew to exterminate you before they got home!" But Babmayus knew that Tommy would truly never do such a thing unless he was forced to, or he would be killed. And he couldn't stop the person from forcing him to, unless he wanted to die. Tommy was really sad about the death of the Captain, but he swore "With the map I will find the treasure, and leave Babmayus and his helpers to perish for their mistakes and wrong choices."

Babmayus overheard what Tommy had said, and he decided to come up with another plan. Babmayus's plan was to: 1. Kill Tommy. 2. Keep the treasure and the ship for himself. 3. Leave the crew on the island to die. The problem was that Tommy is the Captain now, and he told the crew to: "1. Tie Babmayus to a hammock tight enough so that Babmayus can't escape. 2. Put Babmayus's helpers into the dungeon." Days and days went by, and the whole time Babmayus's helpers were always in the dungeon. And Babmayus was always tied to the hammock tight enough that he could never escape.

Chapter Four:
All the crew did their regular routines, and they took turns feeding the prisoners. Sooner or later everyone on the ship ran out of supplies, but Captain Jack always provided everyone with food and fresh water. Tommy kept his promise, and he said, "he would rather die than not keep my promise to Captain Jack." Months went by and Babmayus's helpers begged to get let out, but no one would let them out. Although Babmayus was always full of hate that he never felt bad for killing Captain Jack.

Chapter Five:
After the fifth month of being lost at sea Captain Tommy finally was able to land his ship on the island called "Treasure Island." Everyone loaded off the ship, after anchoring it. The prisoners were left on the ship for 12 hours. After under 10 hours, Captain Tommy and his crew ate then went to sleep. When they awoke, they gathered fifty treasure chests in all, and made it back to the ship. They let the prisoners out, and left them on the island to perish. Captain Jack never left the ship of ghosts alone, and haunted it the rest of his ghost life. And everyone else lived happily, with plenty of stories to tell to their families and friends.
THE END

The Haunted Ship Of Captain Jack

Chapter One:
Once upon a time there was a Captain named Jack; he was trying to lead his crew to an important treasure that would make he and his mates really rich. However, he didn't know Babmayus his old friend was planning to kill him! Babmayus had accidentally told Tommy that his plan was 1. "Swith the place of Jack's self detruct C.C. [Captain's Cabin] button. 2. Blow up Jack's cabin after telling him to move, but don't give him time to. 3. After Jack is dead, lead the crew to the island as Captain, with the map. 4. When on the island, hide from the crew with the map, and go to the treasur. 5. Take the treasure to the ship, and hide it from the crew with the map inside the treasure chest. 6. When everyone's off the ship and at home, get out the treasure. 7. And go home with it so I'll be rich."

Tommy asked Babmayus, "why would you want to kill Jack? You could just make a deal with him, or get it by taking it and hiding it before anyone gets to the cave on the island. Oops, I wasn't supposed to tell you that." "Why not?" said Babmayus. "Because Jack isn't sure he should trust you, but don't tell him I told you that," said Tommy. "Captain Jack thought that you would do something terrible if you got the treasure all for yourself, became captain after him, but he won't let you get enough power to do anything troublesome." said Tommy. "I don't believe you, and I know that I am the one that is most trusted out of everyone on this ship." said Babmayus.

"I already know that Babmayus is out to get me, because he told me that he had a bad dream about killing me, but I know that he's lying." Jack said. Rumors spread around the ship like wildfire, getting fed gasoline all day long. The rumors were that Babmayus and Tommy had a plan to kill the Captain, and to keep the treasure all to themselves! Babmayus and Tommy were furious! Babmayus yelled to everyone, "I came up with an evil plan, not Tommy, and I would never team up with Tommy no matter what!" Tommy said "I would rather die than team up with Babmayus!" Suddenly everyone on the ship split into two groups. One group was with Tommy, and the other one was with Babmayus. Everyone on the ship swore "that if Babmayus really plans to kill the Captain, they wouldn't help him no matter what!" Three weeks went by, and finally all the rumors died away, just as quickly as they had started.

Chapter Two:
A week later, on a dark and stormy night, everyone was worried because they knew that they would all have to work together to avoid an attack from another ship. Nothing happened for two weeks, but no one except Babmayus knew that he had half a ship full of people ready to kill Jack! When the other ship of people found oud what Babmayus's plan was, no one would help Babmayus, because they couldn't possibly murder someone. Babmayus saw a whole ship full of people, named The Pirate That Rule The World! When they were aboard the ship, Captain Jack yelled, "everyone who wants to protect me, get around me now!" Half of everyone on the ship made a circle around him, but the other half attacked their enemies. Suddenly, Babmayus shouted, "Jack and mates, watch out! Were going to blow the C.C. to destroy our enemy!" But it was too late. Jack hadn't moved in time, and Babmayus pushed the button to blow up the C.C.! As Captain Jack flew to the other side of the ship, he shouted, "you will pay for this Babmayus!"

Jack landed next to Tommy, and he madly said "Tommy bring our crew to the treasure, and I'll take care of Babmayus and his helpers!" Suddenly everyone on the ship started yelling "Fight, Fight, Fight!" Babmayus and Tommy started sword fighting. Tommy trapped Babmayus in the corner and wounded him badly and then left.
